  1. friends older brother bought a brandy new think it was a 68 crew cab power wagon, bright metal flake green, had those awesome POWER WAGON side stickers along the bed, they knew how to make things like that, factory jacked up suspension, factory juiced up 318, a real man's truck thats for sure.
he would let us "mush" off the set and tow bumper, it was a definite thrill hanging on at 40-50mph, back then a kid could do that kind of shit without any serious concern from "authorities" it was just a part of the things normal stuff really you did to become a young Man. if the local cops saw us they just laughed and pretended they never saw something. natural selection is a really great concept. maybe it makes a comeback here pretty soon, its kind of past time for that cycle to circle back by my reckoning, though nothing is gonna stop whats coming thats for sure, might even get a chance on getting a few licks in a second go-around, Lord knows no small number of us would nit be unhappy about it, the old joint needs a thorough spring cleaning, i mean thorough, whole llt of em just got to go and no teo ways about it.

  2. I see sanity in a world being polluted with garbage vehicles.

    I have a 85 4x4 pickup and a 81 van on a K-20 frame,doing my part to fight the madness!

I would say truck runs as good as it looks would add to my herd in a heart beat!

    1. Heard that man. Switched from 79 body style, had a fabulous K15 with the all the time 4WDR, wore it out, 400,000 on it, to Chevy trucks in 88-90 era, I prefer the improvements by large favor, still cheap parts, a more tuned exhaust and intake keeping the factory TBI 15-18mpg is realistic, so doing a pretty decent drivetrain and minimal bodywork refurb, cost me about $3500 with new skins, all new parts, makes one dandy of family overhead reducing vehicle. I buy them pretty cheap when one comes by, gets me a stockpile of parts, actually built a great cannibalized truck out of three junkers so far. Laugh all the way to the bank. Saves ten of thousands of dollars a year that way, do the work yourself, do it right, nothing to scoff at. This last one put together is a short bed super-duty 3/4 ton, the factory 5 speed NV4500, (same tranny the Dodge Cummins 12 valve trucks came with), lucked out one junker had a TBI create motor barely a year old, made a real keeper out of it, i'll beat it to the grave.
