And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Back in '84 we were moving to Port Angeles WA and stopped to camp at Lake Shasta. I took two of the older kids in the canoe and we went to the other side of where it was we were camped to sleep out under the stars. I woke up early and went down to the lake and did some casting and hooked something that looked a lot like this picture. That one jump was enough to toss the lure but it was still a great morning!
