  1. Beautiful, and quite evidently well loved.

  2. So would I, much to be said in favor of just the basics. Do wonder though at seat width favoring the driver. And is object below the speedo a radideo?

  3. Three speed on the column? I'd be willing to bet that most of the people here would not know the first thing about shifting gears on this beauty.

    1. John, I think you'd lose money on that bet, cause I think most all who stop be here could've very well have learned how to drive on a vehicle with three on the tree.

    2. Didn't learn on one, but I've driven plenty.

    3. I learned how to drive in a 72 F100 with a 3 on the tree. It had a 4:30 locker rear and was impossible to stall in 1st gear if you didn't have a load.

    4. Not only that, but I still have one with 3 on the tree.

    2. Search for "Citroen H Van" and be prepared for the ugliest thing on 4 wheels.

  8. I grew up when almost all cars had whitewalls and hated it when they went all black. Now whitewalls look odd to me.

  11. Second pic, from the inside back, shows "for sale" signs on all the front windows. How much is that puppy going for?

  12. I miss the days of manual chokes and hand throttles, and people smart enough to use them.
    Sigh.

  13. Is "john" talking about the "surrender monkeys" who fought , alongside their Polish allies, the valiant doomed rear guard that allowed the "brave limeys" to flee like 300,000 bitches?... Those "cowards" johnboy?... If you're going to steal phrases from Jeremy Clarkson, you should at least give him credit, son. Got any original thoughts? Trick question. Don't care. ;)

  15. I more or less grew up in 48 CHEVY, 54 CHEVY AND 55 CHEVY CAMEO CARRIER, Always had Chevys, 66Chevy step side bought for a grand totally stock! Best truck I ever had. Sold it to rebuild my Panhead, damn it! Now I got a Ram Diesel....good truck but cant really work on it cuz of the computers. For less than I paid for that new truck Im thinking of goin back to the old trucks! Thier out there but not for a grand! But its all monopoly money anyways! Id drop 40 gs for a stock 66 Chevy Stepside anyday!

  16. I taught my little sister to drive a 3 speed on the column. She wanted to buy a V.W. and I told her she needed a lesson 1st.
I took her on a trip from Seattle towards Lake Tahoe in my 1969 Dodge A-108 with the slant six.
I would start her on the on ramps back to the freeway. That way it was facing downhill, much easier to learn, easier on my rig too.
She is one tough broad and got it in maybe 3 ramps...
    She loved Lake Tahoe.

  18. Two wheel drive, 3 speed, two door, no second row seats, cheapest model available. At least it has the optional heater!
