All things considered, an all around useful pocket knife

    1. I think so too, although I've got a Barlow in my pocket right now. The truck, though, has a Sod Buster, and it has indeed proven useful on many occasions.

  4. That appears to be jigged delrin, but I tend to lean to an old wood handled German Eye sodbuster from the Motherland. Nothing fancy - just a good carbon steel blade that took an edge.

  5. if it had a good carbon steel blade like the old ones i would buy one in a heartbeat. i hate stainless. they just don't make blades like they use to. it's all cheap Chinese crap now that won't take or keep an edge. if you have some old knives, take good care of them. the old Barlow's are the best IMO if you can find em.
    a buck horn handle and a Barlow blade, the best durn knife ever was made.
