  1. A couple of weeks ago, I actually saw a rainbow touch down in my garden just 50 feet from me. It was gone before I could get a camera. I have only once before seen one touch down. I am 80 years old.

  2. I am in Craven County, on the shore a couple hundred miles south of Gates. The weather has daily featured isolated and widespread TS. A fantastic light show (lightning) most every night.

    1. we get the storm fronts crossing the Chowan headed east, and north- the same, spectacular lightning show.

    2. And…lest we forget, the rainbow was initially mentioned in Genesis as God’s sign of the promise He made after Noah’s flood that no longer would He flood the earth again! Too bad the symbolism has been perverted

    3. I wonder if when Jesus talked about the “end of the world and being “as it was in the days of Noah” that the current condition of our world is exactly what He meant! Food for thought!
