And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have been using mine that I bought when I was 16 for 60 years now. Extremely good product. Mine is still going strong. My son will inherit it when I quit fishing about two months after I die.
FWIW, I'm using the one I bought when I was 18 for 50 years. Black plastic handle but great blade. As Sarthurk says, the wrong sharpener can ruin it and someone who doesn't know what they're doing can ruin one no matter what sharpener they use - but that's true of any knife.
Mine is 45. Makes quick work of filleting a stripper, especially when you get to the skinning part. Couple of swipes on a steel hone keeps it razor sharp.
Wonderful knives those. I used to have a 4" bladed Presentation that I used to remove the transluscent skin off of fajitas (flank steak) to make the meat even more tender. Very useful blade for work like that. It resided in our metal camp box for many years. I haven't seen it in a long time.
I don’t fish as much as I’d like, but my old man used one of these for years.
ReplyDeleteperrenial wise purchase.

Deletevery good filet knife, I have my dad's old one, still works like a champ!
ReplyDeleteAKA Finnish dance card...
ReplyDeleteI've used the Charles but this is at a good price.
ReplyDeleteGood knife, but that sharpener is about the fastest way to ruin a perfectly good knife.
ReplyDeleteMine will be 43 this March. 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteThey make the most successful fishing lure in the history of the world as well.

DeleteSharpen at a 11-12 degree angle on a hard ceramic rod (stone). Touchup on a leather strop.
