Fun Facts: The ‟overshooting top” right-of-center amongst the anvil is actually poking into the stratosphere.The anvil is there because its hitting the tropopause and can not ascend further.  The ‟overshooting top” has so much upward velocity that it takes a certain amount of time for the negative buoyancy in the stratosphere to stop its ascent.
