    1. Looks like a Heineken to me. Some probably tossed it cause it was skunky.

    2. The silver foil around the neck screams St Pauli Girl, unless that is just a reflection.

  7. I can just see some arm braces. Several of them. How unfortunate.

  8. Oh, no. Now I'm going to spend the day trying to calculate how long it would take a bottle to fall 35,000 feet through water of varying temperature and density. Are there currents? How far did it drift sideways?

Probably fell or was thrown off a boat passing by.

    1. Or at what depth it would have imploded if it was still capped.
      You're welcome.

  10. I'm all for exploration. Space, sea or land exploration is a good thing. It drives technology and it presents a challenge to humans, which we need to grow. However, people are pigs. Can't we go anywhere without totally trashing the place? We've put trash on the bottom of the ocean, on the moon, on Mars, in near space, in deep space and anywhere in between. Don't get me wrong... I'm not a tree hugger by any means, but don't ruin it for everyone else. Pick up your damn trash!

  11. I would say that that is a long way to go just for the 5 cent deposit.

  12. Can’t go anyplace without human waste. Walk through desert and every time I think I’m on a new trail I see a corona bottle

  13. In 1975, the boat I was on passed over the Challenger deep, and I was able to take a sounding on it. It took nearly 16 seconds for the echo to return. (Note that the speed of sound in seawater is much faster than air - approx. 4800 fps.)

  14. Hells bells, at that depth. I figured the only thing you'd find, would be lawyers and politicians...
