And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Russians attempting to up-armor their trucks, Mad Max style.
All that one in the next to last photo needs is some guy with a flame-throwing guitar standing on the roof. It's kind of surprising that after a couple decades of watching the US add slat and bar armor to Strykers and LAVs, up-armoring HMMWVs and building MRAP vehicles they didn't issue some add-on kits. Guess they thought their soft-skins wouldn't be attacked. The use of logs is reminiscent of US Sherman tanks in WW2 that used welded-on racks filled with logs on the hull sides. Even bedsprings, like Russians welded to some T-34s in WW2, would give some stand-off against HEAT ATGM warheads.
The worst pictures I ever saw were courtesy of a Marine captain at MCTSSA. He went forward in OIF to help with some IT/SHF problems and the Marines kept trying to up armor their vehicles. The thing was, the pictures were gory beyond belief. I have some idea what that looks like. I haven't seen anything close to that in this war.
the result of a CIA installed regime change in 2014. aka Neo Nazis. don't poke the Bear. How's them Bioweapons Labs lookin now ? will Zelensky wear his boots or his spiked heels meeting with Putin ?
Covering the outside of the truck with flammable material?

ReplyDeleteBirch bark is an excellent tinder. I think that they were trying to camo it as a logging truck

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the truck with the burned out cab was hit by a Switchblade drone?
