And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I carry this style in the truck, and at times have been happy to have it.
Case XX Russlock in me pocket right now. I like the Russlock because of its simple one-handed operation, which even improves over time. There are a ton of different scales and blades available.
With inflation, the FIRST thing the bean counters do is lower the quality of the product. We saw it first start during Obama's reign. Round #2 is now upon us, sigh...
Sodbusters have a long, storied history for farmers / ranchers work knives. As a knife user / collector, I like the old German Eye sodbusters, those carbon blades took a real edge.
I have two 1970's / 80's Case sodbusters but haven't handled the recent production so cannot comment on those. I have heard some complaints about Case knives focusing on knife variations for collectors rather than quality checking.
I carry a Case Peanut knife 95 percent of the time. I live about 45 minutes east of where they made
ReplyDeletei worked at case from 77-82 as a hefter, i carry a canoe, the wife has a peanut

WW-II Tl-29 electricians knife.
ReplyDeleteMy carry knife is a Kershwaw 1830 spring assist. When folks see how fast it can be deployed, they say F*ck.
ReplyDeletei keep it simple, Mtech. I always have one on me. Were I to lose it, they cost about 5 bucks. A knife is always a handy thing to have in one's pocket.
