And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Gateway of the Temple of Apollo on the Island of Naxos, Cyclades Islands, Greece
Been there. Done that. Stood right there. Got the photos. Did that on several islands in 2005. Spent some time in Athens, then took the train down to down to Pireaus, picked a destination and hopped on a ferry. Best to go in the off season, late September or October. Fewer tourists and the host are friendlier.
