And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
57 chevy. Aftermarket bodies available. If that big of a tree is growing through it, you can be assured the frame and floors are long gone back to the earth from where they came from.
Just a glance but I see 4-5 nice pieces on that '57 that could easily find a new home on a restoration. Long time ago I'd occasionally spend wonderful hours treasure hunting at "Leon's - Heah Tis" yard on Rt.29 near Culpeper, Virginia. Back then, nothing was organized and weeds in older cars grew into trees similar to the photo. Really a shame as some of the vehicles had potential for parts in a restoration. Leon's as a 3-4 generation family business was a true piece of automotive history.
Looks like a soft top. Convertible or vinyl cover, not sure from the angle. Maybe just heavy rust, but the hood isn't that dark, so... Looks like the hood has the outline of a 'V' emblem, so it had a V8 (283cu in) engine.
His wife said she was almost ready...
ReplyDeletePity. Unless I am wrong, that is a very desirable '50s Chevy model
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't want to sell, I'm gonna fix 'er up someday...
ReplyDelete"Our Tree-tment is guaranteed to work or double yer money bark"
ReplyDeleteAnd to think that once that was someone's exciting new pride and joy...
ReplyDeleteIN 1957!.............what a shame!
DeleteI think it is an Olds.
