  4. That had to be one hell of a wreck because it was most likely fairly stable up to a certain speed then at the limit lose all stability and it would happen really quickly. BOOM!

  6. Not much of a guard around the prop arc area. Also, what is the large diameter pipe below the engine? I don't think exhaust, unless there is some way it also heats the cabin before exiting there. My father built three of these in the late 50s to mid 60s but with 4 cyl Continental flat 4 engines and not enclosed cabins. When traveling in MI to visit relatives we stopped at every little airport to look for run-out engines and parts. His only had 3 skis. Good times
