The Fairey Gannet is a British carrier borne aircraft of the post second world war era. Developed for the RN Fleet Air Arm. Mid wing mono with tricycle undercarriage and crew of 3.

  3. The variant in the photo is anti-submarine warfare. There was also an airborne early warning version.

  5. That Gannet, the only flyable Gannet left, lives in New Richmond, WI. I wonder if is flying over one of the Apostle Islands, on Lake Superior?

  6. Has twin side by side engines that each drive a prop. The plane can fly with one engine shut down and the corresponding prop feathered. Who would have known. Cool
