A stock electric truck takes on the infamous Hells Gate

  1. Impressive.
But the torque available from an electric motor has never been the question - locomotives are diesel powered electric generators and the torque from those babies is earth-moving. The problem is the sales pitch for environmental happiness, and the little problem of re-charge.

    1. Environmental happiness is recharging your electric car from a coal fired grid. LOL

  2. BFD, the truck makes it, that was a given. The video title should be "no duh"

  3. After the strain you know those batteries must have been plenty hot. Perhaps they could siphon the heat and make steam to drive a generator to recharge the batteries. Yeah, perpetual motion. lol

  5. I wonder how far they made it after that? Probably just to the trailer to get towed back to the outlet.

  6. Apparently not one Liberal in the country has an answer for the problem of a dead battery during a closed highway in a snow storm. How can people be so stupid? Maybe it's just me.
