  7. The Montana History Society posted this picture recently. This is Bonnie Gray jumping her horse King Tut at the Los Angeles Roundup.
From 1922 to 1932, trick rider Bonnie Gray performed in rodeos across the U.S. and Canada, earning the title of World Champion Woman Rider. A woman of varied talents, Gray had a degree in music from the University of Idaho, studied nursing at a military post in Montana during World War I, and became a motion picture stuntwoman in 1932.

  8. You'd almost have to be on horseback to move a hat that size but with her skills, I'd say she could wear a Viking helmet with horns and not much would be said.

  9. I figured that it was some sort of Wild West show.
Hard to get a horse to jump something like that.
Took a lot of work to make it look easy.

  10. The unsung wheelbarrow guy is there to haul off body parts if the stunt goes sideways.
