And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
As a child, nearly sixty years ago, I was bit by a small "pet" alligator. One bite was all it took to learn the lesson. Don't play with alligators. Of course I didn't realize that alligators don't normally survive in Washington State.
Better clean that out fast. Lizards are not known for proper dental hygiene.

I got bit by a pet iguana- they're serious vegetarians- that mistook my finger for a piece of fruit I was feeding her.
