  3. The Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Speciale had a 2.9L supercharged straight 8 making 220 hp. The body was aluminum hand-formed over a tubular frame. It ran in the 1938 LeMans, stretching out a lead of 150km before retiring.

  4. Pretty much an Alfa F1 with a coupe body - very similar to the 2900A that won both the '36 and '37 Mille Miglias. I can just imagine what that blown straight-8 sounded like full bore!
