  1. Good brakes, a little too good. Probably only 100grand to fix.

  2. 757 methinks. Autobrakes would have prevented that unless el-capitain ran out of room. Rejected takeoff? Blown tire and then...? And more that 100K.

    1. Yeah it's not just wheels. It's parts up to the wing spar, and that will likely need x-ray/dye penetrant imaging for stress cracks.

    2. It's called magnaflux. I'd like to know the story. The tires didn't burn off cause there's no residue or evidence of smoke. It almost looks like it was jacked up, the tires removed, then the jack fell and the wheels embedded into the pavement. There appears to be a problem with the front one too.

  3. lets see...not including the other MLG not shown, entire shock strut assembly with axle bogie, trunion bearings, NDI of spar box structure, fuel leaks, anti skid system and brake system renew/repair,tires and wheels and bearings, assorted sensors, switches, wiring and hydraulic system & mechanical bits and pieces etc. I put it conservatively at $1,200,000.00 plus labor. I mean, come on, it's a Boeing product

  5. Looks more like normal maintenance. Let it down on the pavement, but forgot how hot it was.
