I’ve actually been lucky enough to play this hole a few years back. It was super fun, you get 6 balls to hit .I suck at golf so never even came close to landing on the green but a few colleagues who are pretty good landed on the green. It’s incredibly deceiving when you tee off as even when you think you’ve hit it well it just drops way short into the bush. They have multiple guys or “ spotters” at the green in radio contact with the guy at the the top who find your ball if it’s relatively close to the green. You get a certificate afterwards confirming you played the hole. Best part for me was the helicopter ride getting up and down.
I would do that. We have a community course in suburb town nicknamed goat hill as it rises and falls with sourounding terrain. A par 3 is the same not as high though. Amazing how hard it is to hit the green.
ReplyDeleteThey have a miniature golf version?
ReplyDeleteI guess you could say that you've had high tee.
ReplyDeletePlay the course at Camp Pendleton. It is unique in its approach to elevation and target.
ReplyDeleteIt’s at Entebene nature preserve and animal park, been there numerous times, but never played golf. I used to live an hour away in Polokwane.
ReplyDeleteThe green is the shape of Africa with Madagascar off the SE coast...very cool!
