And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Quite the setup - I've never seen pineapples done thataway.
Are those chickens hanging with the pineapples? Interesting.
It is a nice setup, the only thing that would bother me is that tripod with the shallow piella pot. Inevitably somebody always seems to trip over that one leg - especially once the rum punch is flowing....
Would be informative to get some comment from cooks/caterers, but I will speculate that the onions and peppers will go into some sort of salsa as they will be done loooong before anything else. The sausages will be done way before the ribs that will be ready before the briskets(?). This looks like a long cook. But yum!
Looks pretty - makes a great picture - but it's unmanageable. Try putting that many sausages so close together over coals!. The flare-ups and the lack of space to turn them easily. I guess the coals be burned down to the point where they're not that hot but those sausages are going to take a long time to cook over low heat. Not easy to work that way.
Poor Wilbur in the left corner - he may as well be working on his tan - I don't see how he's going to cook that far up and away from a fire that's cool enough not to burn that wooden fencing.
I can pick more apart but now I'm hungry after looking at it all. Heading for the kitchen....
That just went into the idea plan file for Camp Snoopy.
Also, pretty sure that's the pizza setup, what with the pig to the left, the pinapples and chicken on the right, and the pizza cooking tripod in the middle. ;)
The foreground looks like the assembly table for making proper kabobs.

That rack "Wilbur" is on rotates down to place him horizontally over the coals.

Bonus: that contraption at left rear appears to be a proper rotisserie to turn entire cows or sides of beef!
DeleteI.e.: the thing without which no proper BBQ should be.
I am so there.
