And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Kilauea Volcano Erupts December 21, 2020 - Might as well end this year with a bang!
Years ago, Mrs CW and I visited the Halema'uma'u Crater when it was dormant and quiet, but the whole thing creeped Mrs. CW out so badly that she begged to leave as soon as possible.
This morning she was full of that "see, I told you so" attitude.
