And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Mat, I can only speak for my 78 year self. I make fun of and laugh at all reality. The babe will have 6 kids, be 190 lbs and look like she was hit by an ugly stick by the time she's in her 20s. My humor offends lots of politically correct people. That makes me ROFL too.
Mat, it kind of depends on the day and topic. Some of the commenters will make small spirited/ugly cracks for no reason, and often the other commenters will riff off that. They'll defend themselves with their age and 'life experience'. Most women are ugly/fat/stupid or they will be soon. Most young men are idiots. And all the comments are supposed to be funny.
Other commenters have interesting things to say, or simply appreciate what the blog host has shared. You'll figure out who you want to skip over, and who you want to pay attention to.
My comments are funny to me, Anon. I mock and laugh at things I can't control or change. There's no sense in getting hyper and morose that stuff. It's bad for the BP. Laughing at it acts like a mental Beta-Blocker.
Bogs, I thought you 'ROFL' at people who don't get your humor? Why are you now bitching about 'sensitive' commenters?
I fully support your right to express whatever you want. I have the same right.
I'm not sensitive or hurt because I don't find you funny. I've simply realized, after years of reading your comments, that I won't learn much from you. So I mostly ignore you, and I wish you would mostly ignore me, instead of bleating about "sensitive commenters" for the next week. Go be you.
Probably a German or Italian or Brit a few generations back in her heritage. I used to work in both Egypt and Tunisia and it's often surprising how often Caucasian genes assert themselves there. She's probably in her very early teens.
Blue eyes in the Middle East is sometimes the result of a blood tax. Muslims taxing christian subjects in their children, in Turkish Devshirme. The most well known are the Janissary of Egypt. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janissary
Escaping this tax was part of the motivation for people in Bosnia Herzegovina to convert to Islam.

ReplyDeleteI could have guessed an Egyptian girl, came from Egypt. Needs a wash.
ReplyDeleteNice looking now but in 10 or so years she will be ugly enough to send a freight train up a dirt road.
ReplyDeleteI've never been there but why do you and bogsidebunny say that stuff?
DeleteCause it was funny?
DeleteAnyway, it'll cut your liver out and eat it with a fine chianti.

ReplyDeleteAh, here: http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20180821-malana-a-himalayan-village-shrouded-in-myth
Well maybe not. Crap. I've seen pictures of girls with the same color eyes in very similar colored dresses.
