And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My neighbor in 1979 had this, same color too. It was her daily driver and she knew she was running it down by putting on the miles. But she knew what she had - as she was fond of saying - and was asking no less than $9,500 at that time.
I think it is out of control these days, buyers would think what a find that would have been. OMG1 ya mean you didn't snatch it up right away!!1 So what it was half a year's salary.
It galls me that when putting it away for long term at least roll up the windows and close the doors and hood. I did know an old rancher who had an original Shelby GT on blocks. He was smart, he put it on blocks and put a wool-lined tarp over it. Original paint and stripe were near factory condition. No dents or scratches. In 1977 he was firm on $8,500. Every time I saw it I was very tempted.

ReplyDeleteSeems like a crime to me leaving it like that, unwanted and unloved
