And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Reminds me of some of the creatures seen in the Georgia Tech "Ramblin Wreck" parade each homecoming. There were different classes, but one class was for completely student fabricated vehicles. There was one frat that year after year tried to build a walker. This was before "The Empire Strikes Back". There was a hill that all vehicles had to climb to qualify for the parade and they could never build a walker that could make it. But for me, that was long ago and far away and who knows now?
