And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I believe it's not a Maserati 4000 (which was the 1970s Ghibli) but a 450S. That would also make it a 1957 car, not a 1964. I know because during practice (not the race) I was actually on the same track (Sebring) as Fangio driving the 450S in 1957. He even waved to me as he passed. I was driving an Aceca Bristol, which was nothing but a pest to Fangio, so that was kind of him.
I think I will put a trident on the grill of my F250 deisel on 35x 12.5 just for the hell of it. As good as a Cadillac with a Deadhead sticker. My wife had dancing bears on her STS just because.
It's a 1964 Maserati 4000 Monza MB Special. With a 4136cc engine, it was first registered on 25 November 1964. The B at the end of the UK registration also pins the date to 1964.

ReplyDeleteYou're right, though it's actually a one-off bitsa (bitsa this, bitsa that...).
