This is embarrassingly good penmanship. I need to practice...

  1. Goes great until you have someone shouting "faster faster" behind you.
I knew a guy who wrote like that, he was a pilot and I asked him, he'd trained as draftsman when young.

    1. Exactly. I used to be able to write like that, due to a really good Drafting Arts class in Junior High.

But... that was years and years ago.

  2. I wonder if his copied clearances were that neat. ATC isn't known for cutting you any slack to get stuff written down. It's keep up or else.

  3. I've got a buddy who's a cartoonist. Even at this age he can produce text that fast that's so small you can't read it without a magnifier.

Practice all you like, some things are just inborn.

    1. There was a girl in my high school class who took 3 lines of notes per college ruled line. Readable, but tiny... Me, there's a reason I'm a computer person.

  4. Drafting was so cool, getting good grades while drawing anything.

  6. I also printed my notes in class... working as a pencil draftsman will tend to do that.
