And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Tommy Lee Jones - offensive guard, Harvard varsity football team, 1968.
While Al Gore attempted to claim he and his wife were the inspiration for the movie Love Story, it was about Tommy Lee Jones. I have to hand it to the reporter who asked Gore, "but didn't the guys wife die in that movie?
I must have gotten the wrong dope on this story. Back when the reporter asked Gore that question, that story came out from multiple sources. I should have checked it out myself.
