And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was in the crow's nest on a 98' boat. I spied a blue whale which then came up next to the boat. I saw the whale was longer fore and aft than the boat. Amazing!
In 1977 New Zealand Rob and I were on a Hobie Cat off Laguna Beach when a 50' Gray Whale swam about 6' under us. We looked at each other with bug eyes and nearly crapped ourselves. I can't imagine being this close to a Blue.
