And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The Rhone Country and the French Alps is in my top three favorite parts of Europe. It's on quarantine lock down these days, but as I know personally, the concerns of the larger world don't translate well to a cabin, far from people.
That cabin was on our itinerary hiking the Haute Route from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland! A 125 mile route through the high Alps, this was one of the highlights of my hiking experiences.
Mer De Glace is Sea of Ice (if my high school French doesn't fail me), so Sea of Ice cabin?
