  1. I have two, they are different lengths. When I need one, generally I really need one...

  2. Back in winter of'69, I was fortunate enough to work at Sjostrum & Sons Const. in Rockford Ill, just down from Estwing Foundry. PR man came by one day and passed out framing hammers and hatchets to all of us grunts working. I still have my framing hammer but wish I had took one of the hatchets! Will out last me and my next 4 generations easy.

  3. Better than a sword cane, this could be gussied up with a handle and rubber foot, and act as both a cane AND a self-defense weapon. Hmmmm, I have one in the basement, think I'll go look at it and muse the possibilities.

    1. I don't think the rubber foot would last long, then the city would have some words about the divots in the sidewalk.

  6. We always referred to this tool as a "crow bar". The nail puller end being in the form of a crow's foot.
