  2. Might be independently powered electric hub motors. Maybe a fuel/electric vehicle, or full up fuel cell or battery powered.

    Independent electric hub motors is the only way to go, if you aren't going full internal combustion drive train way.

  4. I'd bet from an engineering standpoint it isn't possible to have a flat, right-angle upright with enough rigidity to work. Sit a 200 lb guy in and all four wheels will go negative camber 15°.

    They would probably have better luck making it rim rider/hubless wheel for powering it.
