And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Explaining this to mom and dad should be interesting.
OK well I'd like to hear ole Mom & Dad's explanation of why they have ANY piece of furniture of that height and obvious weight NOT ATTACHED TO THE F"N WALL!! They're the ones that need to be taken to the wood shed, not these two.
gone from california and yeah, when I bought all those ikea shelves in Pittsburgh I kind of left off securing them to the wall. The midwest is a nice ordered place up here and no earthquakes, seismic disturbances or tornados so we just left well enough alone in our 100 year old plaster find a stud from hell walls.
