And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
technically not a 1911 - a Wilson EDC X9 which has a double stack magazine of 9mm; also has an external extractor. But a VERY nice pistol nonetheless! If you happen to have $3000 lying around ...
Sorry, if the frame is plastic it is not worthy of the 1911 designation. John Moses Browning was the god of firearm designers. From the Potato Digger machinegun to the M-2, he created the greatest firearms known to man.
It was designed to be carried cocked and locked with a thumb brake strap to prevent accidental discharges. The Army in their wisdom went with Civil War Era flap holsters. The 1911 is the single greatest home defense weapons with the exception of a 12 gauge shotgun!
I would not spend almost $3000.00 on a pistol that may be confiscated by the police if you ever have to use it in a defensive situation. You may or may not get it back. There are dozens of available pistols in the sub $1K range that will work just as well. Looks like a nice pistol, though.
My thoughts exactly. That pretty BBQ gun will look like it's been dribbled across a concrete road when (if) you get it back. The odds of it getting "misplaced" go up dramatically too.
