  1. There's a Japanese gun emplacement on the north shore of Roi-Namur, which is on the northeast side of Kwajalein Atoll, that has a 14" AP hole in it.

    Japanese concrete, made with coral, was remarkably strong.

  2. The older BBs of the PACFLT were workhorses, to be sure. ( But they weren't the Big Badger Boat BB-64 )!
