And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Fuel consumption and the oil crisis in the early 70's ended this proud bird's future with the T Birds and the Blues....not to mention the smaller replacements were easier to maneuver in tight spaces....
There are currently three of those flying. Two are up for civilian sale. At least five more are in civilan ownership and awaiting restoration. Average cost 3.9 million for a ready to go F-4E or F. Cost per flight hour around one million dollars.---Ray
