  1. Photo is reversed, Rolls Royce Merlin rotated counter clockwise when seated in the cockpit. Spits require left rudder during takeoffs and climbs.(P-Factor)
    Look at propeller blades, pitch and camber is backwards.
    Note: Pilot rank is Sergeant ( 3 Stripes/ down ) Only RAF had flying NCOs.

    The Packard - Rolls Royce used in P-51s rotated clockwise, requiring right rudder for takeoffs and climbs.
