Slag Pot Carrier - that's bad soup.

  1. As a kid I lived close to a US steel plant. It had a train that carried the slag pots along a hill side . At night when they would dump the pots it was like a volcano lava show as it splashed and rolled down the hill embankment. They even had a fence up and parking area it was so well liked.

  2. There was a plant nearby, over in Ohio, that made steel alloys. A neighboring business took the dome-shaped boulders of slag that had been allowed to cool in pots and ran them through a VERY loud machine that cracked them into the green slag that you see on some driveways. The stuff is almost like glass.
