And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I gave one of those to my son back in the 90's. He didn't have it very long before I took it away from him. He figured out how to shoot a fart 25 feet away.
I had an air-blaster toy back in 1958 or -59, it couldn't have been the Wham-o since they didn't come out till 1965. IIRC it was pretty much like that Airzooka, and it was one of my favorite toys. You could shoot stuff like ping-pong balls too.
It got taken away when during a cocktail party (remember those?) I found I could knock a cigarette out of someone's mouth from 10 feet away! (I got it back later though.)
Nostalgic to say the least. Remember the Wham-O Air Blaster from the 60's?

ReplyDeleteYou gotta admire that.
DeleteI bought one (through your Amazon account) for my 9 year old grandson. I'm sure that he will get up to mischief with it.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how long it takes him to learn to do the trick Tony's kid did with it.
DeleteFlinging farts sounds like a fine thing to do!

One of those moved with me when I relocated.
ReplyDeleteIt's currently in the garage.
The grandkids haven't been introduced to it... yet.
