Hot Tail, F-4 Phantom style.

  1. I was stationed at NAS Key West back in '66-'68. My office was in the Operations Building and all the windows faced the primary runway. It was always a rush whenever a Phantom would roll up to the runway and warm up. It'd sit there for a bit and then the pilot would run up the engines and then hit the afterburners. Wow, what a sight. Those big blue flames seeming to extend about 50 feet and then the plane would be gone. I'd always wanted a picture of that but cameras were not allowed in my space.
Good times. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

  2. If you had two arseholes, and they were both on fire... you’d move fast too!
