The internet is awash with stories about how the IRS targeted groups and entities politically unpopular with the current administration for audits.   Over at Hot Air, they have a post about the types of information demanded of these groups by our IRS overlords, and you should check it out for a comprehensive understanding of the intrusiveness of their demands.  

Imagine having to basically stop everything you are doing and attempt to comply with all these demands.  Think of how much lost productivity, how much lost money that would of necessity occur while the process plays out.  Finally, imagine the stakes if the IRS decides that you actually are not a tax exempt organization.  It would be the immediate end of your work.

That, however, was no doubt the aim of these politically motivated audits.  Truly, the government has become our oppressor, and is no longer entitled to our trust or respect.

And hey, don't forget this:

Everything is public, to be looked over at your risk by anyone who wants to.

Remember that these are the people that will be enforcing Obamacare.  Enjoy their tender mercies.
