  1. I've had that experience while standing up to my waist in the water fishing. I took a couple of steps back.

  9. I fished the coast of Wake Island back in the early 90's off of an old US Navy boat. We used 550 para cord for line and a strip of inner tube as the signal of fish on. Tied the cord to the railing and the length of inner tube to the cord and the railing leaving room for the inner tube to stretch. When a Wahoo hit that squid lure one man would grab the line at the aft and run to to the fore leaving the next man to grab the cord at the aft and run to the fore while the first fella ran back to the aft to grab the cord again. We had about a 50% full fish catch rate while the other 50% was heads only due to black tip reef sharks. The faster it was in the boat the better the chance of some tails. Quite the experience not to mention mouth watering wahoo steaks.
