    2. Good Heavens, yes — the 1/2 inch Milwaukee Fuel impact is easily one of my top 3 tools in the garage.

  2. Indeed, far too many parents spend all their time working, so they can have enough money to buy their kids everything, when in truth, what they really want is TIME WITH YOU. Being able to DO THINGS is ALWAYS better than having things (that ultimately break, wear out, get stolen, etc.).

  4. My kids cars had a breaker bar with a 6 point socket that fit their lug nuts, stand on the end of the bar, say lefty-loosee and bounce, the nut will come loose.
All my daughters knew how to change a tire, sons too.

  5. I have heard it over and over - "You want your children to have it better than you did, don't you?"
Nope. I am hoping that can be better people than I was.
I have heard all that crap like:
"You can't make your kids chop wood." When my bunch has been out cutting firewood, they come in the house laughing and joking. They know they were doing something important. If they sit watching a movie or playing video games, they get grumpy.
"She's too young to drive." Hey, her feet reached the pedals at age 9, and I live on a dirt road, it was time.

  6. Yaknow... Not for nothing, but I've tried to teach my kids a lot of things. They have no interest in it. At least 2 out of the 3 can drive a stick. Now if only I could teach them cursive....

  7. Spent time with dad working on cars, nowadays its almost impossible because of computers in cars, takes away all the fun of fixing and hearing that engine purr.
