And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

It is said that there are benefits to taking this vitamin.
Been taking it for about a year. The only benefit I've noticed is my doctor doesn't bitch about my Vitamin D levels anymore. Didn't get the usual annual cold last winter though... maybe it does help.
My bride takes four of them a day. I take just one. I figure between that and the copious amounts of milk I drink I should be good to go. I can't remember the last time I had a cold. My bride believes D3 helps her with her MS symptoms.
Yup, wifey and i take 4000iu daily, among other vits, anything to avoid going near the NHS (blessed be its name), they're still trying to give the over 75's boosters of God knows what filth.
Sun exposure is the BEST way to get vitamin D, and now that things are warming up, do that instead. In the winter time, or if you spend a lot of time indoors, supplementation is absolutely imperative. In the VERY EARLY DAYS of Covid, study after study showed that the BEST predictive indicator of outcomes was one's Vitamin D level (low or very low D had the WORST outcomes, while normal or above normal outstanding outcomes). The reason cold/flu season happens in the winter is NOT about the cold...it is about sun exposure (or lack thereof).
Sunlight is the best way to get Vit D....but, the majority of 'muricans are low on that vitamin. So in order to get your vit D levels up to par; you would need to stand naked in the sun for about 30 minutes a day. There now, you have a pretty picture stuck in your head. Yeah, you can get Vitamin D from the sun, but in order to get the levels up, you need to supplement. Oh and taking K2 along with Vit D will help the cells to "ingest" that vitamin. Another aside, I worked in an ER as an ER nurse and when the victims of covid came in; they were ALL dangerously low of Vit D. But, I couldn't get the robotic MD's to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe giving the patient Vit D would improve their outcome.
Took this brand for around 3 yrs. Now I take D3 with K2. Look up the benefits of K2. It takes the calcium from your blood and puts it into your bones and teeth.Exactly what older people need.
Isn't K what's in carrots? If so, that's good for your eyeballs, too. I used to eat lots of carrots when I was working long hours hauling logs and I believe they helped my night vision.
Yep, good stuff. I down 3,000 IU daily, and spend about 1/2 the day outdoors, more when trout season opens, which is next Saturday here in Michigan, and the trout are already risings to Blue Wing Olives and Hendricksons, which have started hatching early this year.
Since 2018 I have been taking D3 (4000 units), Zinc sulfate 220 mg, 2 grams vit C and CoQ10. I haven't gotten the flu, or covid, or pneumonia and I am diabetic, overweight, and 74 y o. So, vitamins and supplements do work.
Amen to that. I believe Hawthorn and Ubiquinol (CoQ10)for the heart have kept us alive beyond what is normal. And eye supps have kept cataracts at bay.
I stopped getting kidney stones when I started taking D3. Seems that D3 helps your kidneys process calcium so you excrete it out rather than accumulating it in the form of stones. It's been 5 years since I had a stone and before that I had over 30. My Dr. said the idea that you can generate enough D3 from sunshine is wrong.
I take 5000 units of D3, zinc and multi-vitamin for older men just because and Black Cherry extract for gout.. No idea if the first 3 help but they don't hurt anything that I know of. The Black Cherry extract does help..

In Europe they take 10k iu or more. The 600 iu the FDA recommends is laughable.
