  1. A surface navy nuke, with a couple of Battle Efficiency E ribbons, reuniting with his wife and even the baby's face expresses the goodness of it.

    1. Thanks John, I saw that symbol and wondered. Not a Navy man.

  2. The ribbons with "E" are Navy Rifleman (Expert) and Navy Pistol (Expert). The ribbon to the left of them looks like the Global War on Terrorism Service ribbon and the one on top is the National Defense Service ribbon.

    1. Exactly. The Battle "E" is blue, with white & yellow stripes on the ends & he wouldn't have 2 ribbons but one ribbon with 2 "E"s

    2. Well crap, being out of the Navy 38 years has me messing up isiginia and ribbons. That is an Electronics Technician insignia, and the ribbons with an "E" are, I think, for pistol, not rifle, but don't quote me on that.

We qualified for food stamps when my husband was E5. I told him there was no way we would apply and that we might have stuff he was not familiar with sometimes but we’d survive.
