The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Not photoshopped. IIRC this was the first attempt and left the rider with a broken back and appendages. After healing for (I think) almost 2 years, he built another ramp in South Africa and tried again. That time with a successful and non-injurious outcome.
