  1. Lot of static electricity attracts coffee dust. There is a model out that has a grounded stainless steel hopper

  2. I've had one of those, and it's a good mill, impressively good for the (low) price. Easy to adjust, use and clean. A bit clingy with the static, but acceptably so.

  3. I had one of these - use a used dryer sheet to wipe down the outside and most of the static goes away.

This was a very good grinder for the price though the failure point is the burrs - the stationary burr is surface hardened and once that surface is gone the burr will stop grinding - this did take about five years in my case, so all things considered, not too shabby.

  4. We have one and love it. I am 'supposed' to drink de-caf. My husband likes his fully loaded coffee. Instead of having TWO coffee pots, we put in half de-caf beans and half french roast and split the difference. Push the button and ta-dah! Everyone is happy

  5. I've had one for probably 10 years and like the people above, the static cling is a pain in the butt. Never thought about using a dryer sheet.

  6. I have the Sears Kenmore version, works great, but yeah - static.

  7. I'd buy one that isn't a Cuisinart. Had a Cuisinart coffee maker a while back, $99, 10 years ago, about. Lasted a year and the electronics went on it, when you opened the lid, the condensation ran down inside, eventually shorted it out. Cuisinart is on my "never ever buy anything from again" list.
