Mammoth Mountain Closes Because Of Too Much Snow

 If you can believe that.

  1. Global warming makes you hot and sweaty and makes sea levels rise so you have to move your cities every 300 years.

Global cooling kills billions and buries them under a mile of ice.

    Our elites have chosen poorly.

  2. Yes, I can believe Mammoth has closed. They've done it before.

Add to that the Southern Sierra has received a much higher percentage of historical average snowfall than either the Central or Northern Sierra have received it's completely understandable.

Percentage, Normal to Date, 1/9/23 -
    Northern Sierra and Trinity, 173%
    Central Sierra, 201%
    Southern Sierra, 222%

This with four days of almost nonstop snow and rain coming.

It'll be interesting to see what these percentages are on Wednesday. The Southern Sierra could be well over 300%. Incredible.

  4. Snow happens. During the '77 blizzard in Buffalo, people were getting in and out of their houses through second story windows because the drifts were so high.

  5. Could still end up in a drought if Feb-April are dry as happens often.

    1. Yes, because they decided not to build any more reservoirs to hold that water.
