Le Cerf Malade (The Ailing Stag), illustration by Gustave Doré for Fables by Jean de La Fontaine (1867 edition)
I have Dante's Inferno and Paradise Lost in the 1800's hardbound editions. He was a profilic artist, but I have never seen this print. Thanks! Bubbarust
