And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
They've been trying to get rid of the A10 for a while. It's not sexy enough, or high tech enough, or expensive enough for the brass in The Pentagon. Only trouble is nothing can touch it for close air support.
Beautiful Bird. Watching a flight of two or more make a turn is flat-out beautiful. Almost like they're on a string. And depending whether friend or foe, the sound of a 'Hog rolling in is like a mother's hug or a pooper looser...
A-10, like the CH-46, they want to dump it for something else far more expensive and far less capable.
